All of our projects are productive collaborations with our tenants to help us create the next generation of buildings that meet and exceed the needs of the communities we are proud to be a part of.
Our latest project is the recreation and renovation of the former Associated Chiropractic Clinic. By redesigning the building, and expanding the main and lower level, we are able to serve the neighbourhood of Crescent Heights in new ways. We are excited about the new businesses we will bringing to Centre Street.
This three-story historical building is ideally located in the busy mission district on 4th Street SW. 4th Street is one of Calgary South’s busiest traffic arteries with over 17,000 vehicles and roughly 1,500 pedestrians daily.
Our “Spider Site” project gets its unique name from the beloved “spider beetle” that once sat prominently at the front of the former “Mechanics Garage” occupying the site for more than 30 years. A friendly and welcoming mascot to the communities of South Calgary and Altadore.
This new mixed-use urban retail/medical office project replaces the Mechanic Garage with a beautiful McKinley Burkhart designed four-story building, strategically situated at the corner of Premier Way (29th Avenue) on busy 14 Street SW. Although the “spider car” has moved down the street, subtle nods to its history still exist around the property, such as the three metal spiders located on the parking lot’s back wall.
This ideal location is situated in the heart of the eclectic Mission neighbourhood mixing, high-density residential, historic row housing, commercial offices, shops and restaurants. Mission’s desirable demographics have contributed to the success of many popular Calgary restaurants, including Earl’s, Mercato, Phil and Sebastian’s, Purple Perk, Starbucks and A&W.
Situated on the northeast corner of 8th Street and 15th Avenue SW, this location features prominent south and west exposure ideal for indoor or outdoor dining. This site sitd opposite the newly renovated Mount Royal Village Shopping Centre and the new Royal Development - a development featuring Urban Fare Green Grocers, Canadian Tire, and Copeman Health.
8th Street is the main connecter for commuter traffic from the Cities most affluent inner city communities including the historic Mount Royal neighbourhood, and is a part of the daily ritual ingrained into the commuter behaviour of area resident.
Recognizing the growing densification of the Beltline and the importance 8th Street plays in our daily commutes, the City of Calgary has begun work on a pedestrian promenade and boulevard that will run down the east side of 8th Street. The 8th Street Promenade will extend from the 17th Avenue retail corridor, through the Beltline and the downtown office core, where it will ultimately terminate at the Bow River. This Promenade will further cement 8th Street as one of Calgary’s busiest and most prominent downtown corridors.
The 8th Street Promenade, along with our improvements to the site, will make 1436 8th Street an ideal restaurant location. With some of the highest pedestrian traffic in the area, along with a large outdoor seating area that boasts outstanding afternoon and evening sun exposure, 1436 8th Street constitutes a rare opportunity.
Tigerstedt block is Certus’ oldest free-standing building. The northernmost part of the building was built as a photography studio for Albert Tigerstedt in 1952, hence the name "Tigerstedt block." The iconic neon sign remains as one of the few authentic signs from the early 1950s in Calgary.
The property is a mixed-use multi-family residential and retail development. While we await the transformation of the Tigerstedt Block, the retail strip has become a vibrant incubator to numerous start-up artisanal food purveyors and local retail, such as Tokyo Street Market, Two Pillars Inc, and the Tigerstedt Flea Market.
Tigerstedt is flanked to the west by the prosperous single-family community of Rosedale and to the east by the youthful and vibrant density of Crescent Heights. Making it strategically situated along the east side of Centre Street between 8th and 9th Avenues a short walk from Chinatown and the Calgary downtown office core.
Tigerstedt Block proves to be both a great place to live and a prime retail location for commuters as they enter and exit the city centre.
Ghitter Block is situated along Elbow Drive at entry to the Britannia Shopping Plaza. Britannia Plaza is currently home to Sunterra Market, and a unique and eclectic collection of exclusive stores, gourmet shops, and convenient services.
Ghitter Block has enhanced the shopping and dinning experiences already enjoyed by local area residents, by curating a select group of retailers and food purveyors to create a boutique retail offering. Inspired character architecture that is both authentic and substantial is the foundation upon which this development is built
Prime 14th Street Location, high traffic location in the inner city between Bankview and Mount Royal. Major north south roadway, 14th Street connects a number of inner city communities to the Cities downtown core and major west Calgary roadways.
